Welcome to the Application Management & Modernization Blog of T-Systems.
Last Friday I received a brand new survey on AMM from our Market Intelligence Team. The survey was conducted by a major external service provider. We want to know what our customers and potential customers think about AMM. In other words: what moves our AMM customers now and what will move them in the future?
After talking to numerous clients from various industry backgrounds with a diverse set of SAP systems, a common discussion topic kept appearing:
‘we need to reduce the number of SAP instances, the number of systems (modules) duplicating the same business processes, reduce the complexity of the interfaces between these systems & standardise on the SAP versions’.

The World Cup has just finished and the best team won. Congratulations to Spain – we will see you at Euro 2012 in Poland and the Ukraine.
The T-Systems symposium series also came to an end recently. The last of the three events took place at the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport. The match between the Netherlands and Uruguay kicked off in the evening of July 6. The atmosphere at the Mövenpick Hotel was wonderfully soccer-like, with mannequins in the main room dressed in the kits of various national teams, vuvuzelas all around (the key note speakers had to demonstrate their musical talents), and lots more soccer decoration.
Right now, the world is looking to South Africa – for the biggest soccer event of the last four years. Everyone around me (even those who usually hate soccer) is waiting for their team’s first match with bated breath. Soccer maniacs are hoping for thrilling matches and revealing insights into the mastery of their soccer heroes.
I have heard that T-Systems is also offering its customers revealing insights into the recent developments relating to the real top IT topics. T-Systems’ “world event” is the “T-Systems Symposium”, which will be staged at three locations in Germany in June/July: Hannover, Darmstadt and Stuttgart. The CeBIT 2010 trade fair held in Hannover in March was a similarly big event covering a broad range of topics with more input from Deutsche Telekom. The T-Systems Symposium will give business customers a deeper insight into its own top topics.
